Mr. Vurl Elvis Murdock, age 76, was born April 20, 1947, in Benton County, MS to the late Wade Murdock and the late Ceolar Hoyle Murdock. He departed his life on May 15, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital (Oxford).
He was the third child out of six children. He accepted Christ at an early age at Union Hill MBC. He received his education from Old Salem School in Ashland, MS. He was married to Dasie Mae Gibson no children were born into this union.
He leaves to cherish his memories one sister: Verser Murdock Edgeston of Ripley, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation was Friday, May 19, 2023, at Foster & Son Funeral Home, Ripley, MS from 12p-7p with the family present from 6p-7p. Funeral Service is today May 20, 2023, 4p at Foster & Son Funeral Home Chapel, Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the chapel. Interment will follow at Mitchell Cemetery, Michigan City, MS.
