Sergeant Samuel Anthony Edgeston, age 55, was born on November 23, 1967, to John Franklin Edgeston and (USTARNY) Lillie Mae Rutherford Edgeston at Tippah County Hospital. He departed his life on March 12,2023 at his home in Ripley, MS.

He received his education from Ripley High School. After graduation he furthered his education at Northeast Community College graduating in 1986. After college he enlisted into the United States Army as a Track Vehicle Mechanic receiving multiple awards and badges. He was honorably discharged after severing 8 years. During his enlistment he was united in marriage to Andrea Tucker.

From this unity he leaves behind two children: Demetrius (Brittney) Edgeston of Selmer, TN and Quolisha (Aaron) Williams of Middleton, TN. Nine grandchildren, One sister Nettie Ruth Rutherford, one brother; Frank James Edgeston, five nephews, two nieces and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2023, from 12p-6p at Foster & Son Funeral Home, Ripley, MS with the family present from 4p-6p. Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2p at Bethlehem MBC, Falkner, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow at Ruckersville Cemetery, Falkner, MS.
