Josephine Johnson

Ms. Josephine Johnson was born on August 5, 1958 to the union of Gus and Laddie Maxwell Johnson, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She departed her earthly home on February 10, 2023.

She attended Technical High School. Before becoming disabled, she worked at Lee’s Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: son, Jonathan Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandchildren: Alexus Johnson of Columbus, Ohio and Jonathan Luster of Indianapolis, Indiana; two sisters: Brenda Johnson of Indianapolis, Indiana and Patsy Ann Brooks of Ripley, Mississippi; four brothers: Gus Johnson, Jr, Randy Johnson, William Charles Johnson, Richard Johnson all of Ripley, Mississippi, along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also a long time companion Corey Edgeston and two very special friends, Kacey Luster and Linda Johnson Echols.

She was proceeded in death by her parents: Gus and Laddie Johnson; her brothers: William Cox, Jimmy Cox and Willie James Cox; her sisters: Cheryl Mullins and Leopal Cox Jeanes; nieces: Opal Lee Brooks Lubin Dejean and Dorothy Lorene Cox; one nephew, Randy Brooks.
