Jimmy Davis Vance, age 60, was born July 6, 1963, in Ripley, MS to the late Louise Black and Napelon Judon. He gained his wings on October 23, 2023, at Booneville Hospital in Prentiss County. He attended Ripley High School and participated in various sports. He later worked for Tippah County Co-Op for many years.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. John M.B.C. On December 3, 2001, he married the love of his life, Fannie Lee Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memories, wife: Fannie Lee Scott; four stepchildren: Tabitha Scott, Tarrence Edgeston, Jacqeline Jones and Dominince Spight (Adriana). His siblings: Hurbert Black of Ripley, MS, Ethel Foot of Aurora, IL, Rilla Girley of Ripley, MS, Shemeeka Judon, Mitchell Knox (Connie) all of New Albany, MS, Sandra Judon of Myrtle, MS and Benny Sims of Tupelo, MS. One special uncle, Thomas Robinson of New Albany, MS.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 29, 2023, 12p-6p at Foster & Son Funeral Home, Ripley, MS with the family present from 4p-6p. Funeral service will be Monday, October 30, 2023, 2p at St. John M.B.C. Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow at Green Cemetery, Ripley, MS.
