James Franklin "Frank" Cook, age 74, the youngest of fourteen children, was born on May 6, 1948, in Cotton Plant, Mississippi, to the late Walter "Bud" and Hattie Jenkins Cook. He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Antioch MBC.
He completed his formal education at Antioch School, B.F. Ford, and Ripley Line Street School. He united in holy matrimony to the late Barbara Duckett Cook. For much of his lifetime, he pursued a career in farming. He also worked as a machine operator at various plants. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a construction worker for Stricklin Construction.
He courageously fought and won his battle. He slipped peacefully into eternal life on April 20, 2023, at the NMMC in Tupelo, MS. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, a daughter, Angel Cook; a brother, Joe Paul (Patricia) Cook of Blue Mountain, MS; a sister, Frances Marie Mosley of Lorain, OH; a special niece and caregiver, Gracie (James) Isom of Blue Mountain, MS, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Foster & Son Funeral Home Ripley, MS from 12p-7p with the family present from 5p-7p.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at 2p at Antioch MBC Blue Mountain, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will follow at Academy Cemetery Blue Mountain, MS.
