Charlie Johnson Obituary

Charle Franklin Johnson was born April 7, 1948 to the late Dorthy Ann Small. On January 14, 2023 he was called home to be with his heavenly father.

He was a Vietnam War Veteran and honorably discharged in 1968. He loved sports and watching westerns and his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

He leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Glenda (Elbert) Conley of Douglasville GA, and Melissa Johnson of Atlanta GA; step children, Kimela Johnson, Anthony Purifoy and Kendall Purifoy; four grandchildren, Eric Dogans Jr., Victoria Webb, Kmari Tucker and Alyssa Tucker; one great-grandson, Amari Dogans; two step-sisters, Lisa Small and Cassandra Small; and a host of family and friends to cherish his precious memories.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his wife, Cora Jean; and three children, Linda Jo Adams, Anthony Adams, and Carlos Tucker.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley, MS.
