Virdie E. “Boot” Thomas, 90, was born on June 15, 1927 in Falkner, MS to Estelle Bradock and Virdie Robinson.  She went to her Heavenly home on December 3, 2017 at Bridge View Health Services Center in Bridge View, IL.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Dennis (Cathy); 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great grandchildren; nieces and a nephew from Tennessee; Virdie (Geanette) Robinson, Cathy Robinson, Mary (Thomas) Reaves, Marylin Rucker, David (Lyda), Claudie Roy; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2017 from 2 pm – 7 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley, MS.  Service will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11 am at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Falkner, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.  Interment will follow at Ruckersville Cemetery in Falkner, MS.  Services entrusted to Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley, MS.
