Sammy G Johnson

Sammy Gene Johnson, 65, was born on May 29, 1954 to General and the late Gladys Johnson. He departed his earthly life on May 29, 2019 at Diversicare in Ripley, MS.

Mr. Johnson married Clara March and they had three sons. He was a very quiet person and kept to himself. He worked at Biltrite for many years.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three sons: Erick (Melba) Johnson of Ripley, MS, Sammy (Mildred) Johnson Jr. of New Albany, MS, and Travis Johnson of New Albany, MS; sister, Lillie (Lonnel) Perry of Walnut, MS; two brothers, Billy (Bobbie) Johnson of Milwaukee, WI and General Lee Johnson Jr. of Ripley, MS; father, General (Lula) Johnson of Ripley, MS; two step-sisters, Essie Jackson and Helen Cox; three step-brothers: Charley Jackson, John D. Jackson, and William Jackson.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 12:00 noon-8:00 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley, MS, with the family present from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Service will be held Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at House of Prayer and Deliverance in Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.
