Mattie Verline Hughes, 94, was born on February 7, 1923 in New Albany, MS to the late Henry and Mary (Alexander) Stubbs. She passed away at her home on Sunday, October 29, 2017.

She was employed for several years at The Wagon Wheel in Rockton, IL and as a Home Health Care Provider. Mattie is survived by her sons, K.C. (Jill) Jones, Robert (Janine) Jones, and Norris Edwards all of Beloit, WI; ten grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

Graveside service will be Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Beaver Dam Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
