Lisa Darlene Adkins was born, November 5, 1964, to the lateHenry Wilson Adkins and Earlene Gordon Adkins in Evanston, IL. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Palestine MB Church. She later joined Christ Is Life Ministry, where she remained a faithful member until her death.
Lisa was a graduate of Myrtle Attendance Center and attended Blue Mountain College. She was employed at Tippah County Hospital, until her health declined.
She adored nature and often enjoyed watching the sunrise over Tippah Lake. Lisa was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She had a genuine love for people and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Lisa will always be remembered for the valued fellowship with family and friends.
Surrounded by her loving family, Lisa journeyed home to be with the Lord, on September 12, 2018, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: three children, Adrian Adkins and Adriana Spearman of New Albany, MS, and Terrell Spearman (Brandy) of Ripley, MS; two grandchildren, Layken Williams and Sa’Mone Spearman; three sisters, Andrea Adkins of Pontotoc, MS, Patricia Cook (Joe Paul) of Blue Mountain, MS and Margaret Hill (Clauzell) of Myrtle, MS; two brothers, Eric Adkins (Tyhondia) of Ripley, MS and Steve Adkins of Blue Mountain, MS; two aunts, Vinette Adkins of Evanston, IL and Shirley Noel of Peoria, IL; special friends, Myra Beldford, Alice Faye Hines, Mattie Johnson and Zelda Barton, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Robert Lewis Swain and Timothy Adkins, five aunts and four uncles.
