Kassa D. Johnson, 40,  was born April 25, 1978 at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, MS to Cora Lee and Wiley Johnson. He departed this life on Monday, October 29, 2018 at his home in Detroit, Michigan. 

He attended school in the South Tippah School District. Also, he attended Ripley Second Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Cora Lee and Wiley Johnson; two children: Terrel Benson, Shontira (Joshua) Summerhill, and her mother Dominqe Collier ; a stepfather Kevin Gates all of Detroit, MI. Eleven Uncles; Edward (Dinah) McKenzie of Flint, MI; Jerry (Barbara) Johnson of Detroit, MI; Micheal (Sharon) Pate of Tiplersville, MS; Ralph (Lorine) Pate; Ray (Connie) Pate; Pat (Denise) Pate of Ripley, MS. Clyde (Sylvia) Pate of Blue Mountain, MS; Patrick (Chiquita) Johnson of New Albany, MS; Harvey Johnson of Detroit, MI; Lydale Pate and James Pate of Jackson, TN. Eight Aunts, Nancy (Keith) Williams of Milwaukee, WI; Betty Johnson and Denise Carter of Detroit MI; Phyllis Pate, Helen Dixon, Linda (Terry) Smith, Tina (Tony) Spight, Rena Pate of Ripley, MS; Two nieces; Rickayla and Sharel Pate of Detroit MI; and two great uncles Willie T Kennon and James Kennon of Ripley, MS and a host of cousins and friends.
