Johnny Fred Blackwell, 59, was born on March 25, 1959 to Mr. John Lee Blackwell and Mrs. Louise Edgeston in Tippah County Mississippi. He went home to be with the Lord on January 9th, 2019 at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, MS.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother Louise Simmons of Milwaukee, WI; siblings: Billy Joe Edgeston of Tiplersville, MS, Laurie Ann (Bill) Rainer of Tiplersville, MS, Evalyn (Henry) Clinton of Milwaukee, WI, Yolanda Adams of Savannah, GA, and Isaiah (Toni) Simmons of Dallas Texas; former Wife: Patty Sue Prather of Tiplersville, MS; children: Casey Prather of Falkner, MS, Tenisha (Anthony) Jeans of Falkner, MS, Kimberly (Shawn) Johnson of Tiplersville, MS, Shani Blackwell of Ripley, MS, and Jonathan Blackwell of Des Moines, Iowa; and eleven grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley, MS, with the family present from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Service will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Terry Street Church Of Christ in Ripley, MS. Interment will follow art Ruckersville Cemetery in Falkner, MS.
