Vernette Adams Scott was born on 12-22-32 to the late Grady and Francies Adams. Vernette married at early age to Earnest Scott whom preceded her in death. She departed her life at Diversicare in Ripley on February 25, 2018 where she went home to be with the Lord.
Vernette gave her life to Christ at an early age which she was a faithful member at Bethlehem until her health failed. She was a housewife and knew the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. No one could quote scriptures like her. She was very outspoken and outgoing. Also, if she liked you, she would show you that she appreciated everything you done for her.
Vernette leaves to cherish her memories: one sister, Gracie Adkins Adams; one brother, John Roy Adams; nephews: Eugene (Clara) Harris, Greg Adams, Lenell Black, Terrance Black, Peddie Tiggs, Shannon Williams; two nieces, Blanche (John) Goolsby and a very special niece who took care of her until death, Sharon B. Gregory; three special cousins: Doris Bails, Rena Mae Edgeston, and Vera Nan Adams; special thanks to her caregiver, Shaundra Edgeston for always taking care of her faithfully; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 12 noon – 6 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley, MS. Service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 1 pm at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Falkner, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Ruckersville Cemetery in Falkner, MS. Services entrusted to Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley, MS.
