Scottie O. Mitchell was born July 6, 1962 at Tippah County hospital in Ripley, MS. She went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2017 at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley, MS. She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Rickey Mitchell; two sons, Bradley Prather and Edward Prather; one daughter, Ciarra Mitchell; 11 grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Johnson and Tangy Prather; two brothers, Curtis Prather and Willie Prather; 19 nephews and nieces; 47 great nephews and great nieces; and a host of cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 from 12 noon - 7 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley, MS. Service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 11 am at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Falkner, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.
