Lee Russell Wray

September 22, 1942 ~ October 7, 2017 (age 75) 75 Years Old

Lee Russell Wray was born September 22, 1942 in Union County to the late Jay and the late Lottie Foote Wray.

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, he took his journey to be with the Lord.

Lee enjoyed gardening, working, mowing the lawn, and most of all praising the Lord.

He remained a member of the Union Prospect Baptist Church. However, he attended New Start Church in Cotton Plant.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four daughters: Alycia (Eric) Hill of Cotton Plant, MS, Angela (Allen) Christmas of Ripley, MS, Antionette (Min. Rick) Coleman of Tupelo, MS and Gwen (Jerome) Pressley of Springfield, MA; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Mona Rutherford of Cotton Plant, MS.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Jay and Lottie Wray; son, Johnny Wray; two grandchildren, Erin T. Hill and James A. Christmas; and a very close neighbor, Jackie LaPrade.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 12 noon – 8 pm, with the family present from 6 -8 pm, at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley, MS.  Service will be held Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 2 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home Chapel of Ripley, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.  Interment will follow at Union Prospect Cemetery in New Albany, MS.  Services entrusted to Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley, MS.
