George L Steele

George L. Steele, 62, was born June 14, 1955 to Lucian Stokes Steele and Beatrice Steele and General Gunn in Tippah County, MS. He departed his earthly life on February 23, 2018 at his home.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Felix (Phyllis) Berry of Olive Branch, MS and Korshadney (Shelia) Pugh of Blue Mountain, MS; one daughter, Joann Moment of Corinth, MS; six sisters: Earlene Shields of Walnut, MS, Gearldine Knox, Marine (late Samuel) Jackson, Zadie Williams, Laura Gunn and Catherine Brown all of Memphis, TN; one brother, Earl Steele of Memphis, TN; sister-in-law, Helen Steele of Corinth, MS; and a very special friend, Charlott Grove of Tiplersville, MS; eleven grandchildren: Devin, Adrian, Kentavious, Haley, Everett, Desire, Lauryn, Dylan, Pheobe, Kenny, and Tycorius; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 from 12 noon – 8 pm at Foster and Son Funeral Home in Ripley, MS, with the family present from 6 pm- 8 pm.  Service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11 am at Ball Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Tiplersville, MS. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service.  Interment will follow at Hopkins Cemetery in Walnut, MS.  Services entrusted to Foster and Son Funeral Home of Ripley, MS.
